2024

Time flies, and it is already December, and in two weeks time, it is 2025. Another December, another year of me updating what has been happening in my life so far (actually no, more like doing a small recap of milestones).

It has been a privilege of being able to feel and experience all the wonders and beauty in life. Experiencing all the wonders in life such as, happiness, sadness, anxiety, stress, excitement, being terrified, I am grateful for being able to experience these emotions in any event which made me human. I am grateful that I get to live another day, still healthy and well.

All in all, 2024 have been an amazing ride. So much things to be grateful for.

Highlights thus far:

- Work related: all my campaigns so far went pretty smoothly. Grateful for all the experiences and emotions - all the anxiety, stress leads to a sense of achievement at the end of the day. Work has been pretty hectic lately but I always remind myself that there are people out there would die to be where I am now. The ability to go to work, polishing myself to be better, nice colleagues, a better work life balance (work is still stressful but at least I am able to go for workout-classes after work), and not to forget, being able to pay for my bills and commitments. I understand the struggle of not being able to pay cause back then, I struggled to really make ends meet. Looking back, the sacrifices that I made in the past were all worth it in the end.

- Hosted a birthday party by going back to KL and celebrate with friends, ex colleagues that became friends and sister's family. Hosting a birthday party is tiring (and also painful to the wallet) but all that didn't matter when I get to celebrate my birthday with my closed friends. I had a forever-young birthday celebration theme, it was a super chill birthday party!

- Finally flew to Japan for the very first time, a day before my birthday. Explored the outskirts of Tokyo such as Atami, Izu, Odawara and some other areas and ended our trip back to Tokyo. Tho the weather have its own PMS moment (eg: it rained (heavily) the whole day in Disneysea, rain while we were in Hakone that there were some hiccups on our itinerary), and also my aunt passed away very recently that I was crying bucket while watching the livestream of her funeral, I had fun in Japan overall. It was a pretty memorable trip for me - to be able to understand why so many people goes back to Japan every year (and keep wanting to go back to Japan every single time).

- Went to Izu Zoo on my birthday, get to see cabybaras chilling in the onsen was the most therapeutic feeling ever.

- I got to see a little bit of cherry blossom on my first trip to Japan! Cherry Blossom came a little earlier late Feb but at least I get to see how beautiful it is! :)

- Experienced Ryokan in Japan for the very first time. Very interesting experience. Honestly, my first trip to Japan was rather memorable.

- Went to Desaru for the very first time, and had a 2D1N spontaneous plan of "just doing nothing in the hotel and chill".

- Baked cookies, brownies and that one-time-focaccia at home very very often! Literally unlocked a new skills of baking and to many many more to come

- I have been eating at home a lot. You will find me shopping for groceries very often and trying to cook at home to take care of my health (and also my wallet HAHAH).

- Concerts that I have attended: Coldplay, All Time Low, Boys Like Girls, Olivia Rodrigo. Grew up the first 3 artists mentioned since 12-13 years old (Coldplay was 10 years old lol). Olivia Rodrigo > recently was into her songs and cause she is so pretty.

- Made some trips back to KL to celebrate actual, belated and advanced birthdays of my friends, and sister's kids birthday. Tho I don't come down so often but even a day or a few hours made me so happy to be there to celebrate them aging lol.

- Went to Kuantan to attend my ex-colleague's wedding. Had so much fun in Kuantan and it is so good to reunite with my ex-colleagues again. Felt like 2022 all over again lol. A lot of heart-to-heart talks, spending time with each other.

- Went to Japan again for the second time - to climb Mt. Fuji. Conquered Mt. Fuji in a good weather! Conquering Mt. Fuji was definitely one of my highlights this year because who would've thought that this happened when I said "let's make this happen" in a span of 8 months? Some stairs training did help (it was not consistent) - until we decided to take free trial classes in the gym. 2-3 weeks of working out helped.

- Summer in Japan is absolutely stunning! Tho the weather is hot but I had so much fun over there too.

- Finally went to Disneyland! Conquered both Disneysea and Disneyland all in a year (Disneysea need to revisit due to the weather). We didn't get to see the fireworks due to the weather or some circumstances(?) but so grateful to be able to feel like a child again. Pretty much felt that my dream came true cause it has always been my dream to go to Disneyland (your girl loves disney since young!!).

- Went to Bangkok (and finally the trip that my friend and I have been talking about) made it out from the chat/whenever we verbally said we want this to happen lol. Went to Bangkok to see Olivia Rodrigo performed. It all started with "let's just try our luck to see if we can get tickets" and who knew our luck was so good that it was already a sign for us to go to Bangkok hahaha (i mean we already booked the tickets right?) hahaha.

- Went to Taiwan to celebrate Wei Xiang's birthday! Counting my blessings cause we went a week after the typhoon king and I was so so worried tbh if it is gonna affect our trip. Was praying so hard and so thankful that it was a safe trip. Tho the weather was not in our favor cause it keeps raining but all in all, I am so thankful that we managed to land Taiwan safely and being able to carry out our itinerary by exploring night markets. Managed to pet some cute animals and also take picture with the baby cabybara too!

- Have been occupying my time very much on trying to be a better version of myself. Been working out a lot lately and taking my health very seriously. Let's hope I can keep up with this HAHAHA

These are the highlights that happened in 2024 so far. One thing I definitely learnt this year is to always count your blessings. I learnt to not sweat over the things that can't be changed. Now that I entered a new chapter this year, I choose peace. I find myself learning to let go of bad jujus and accepting positive jujus only. I guess this is the beauty of turning older? :'D

THANK YOU 2024! 2024 have been amazing! 2025, let's be friends and rock the year together!
