Today, I did something really productive. All schools are closed around KL and Selangor area due to the haze and so, I have my day off which means no classes in the morning and no Monday blues!
Well, I know that the haze is getting really bad, from bad to worst but that doesn't stop me from doing something productive today. Usually I would love to take a day off and sleep all day long because I have not been getting enough eye-shut for weeks due to assignments, work and keeping myself occupy with so many things that can be done, and trying out extraordinary things and experiencing even more greater things because who knows... we won't be able to wake up the next day like how it is given the opportunity now plus we do not know when is the time for us to go. I may not be able to experience it anymore so I'll do the best I can to experience and go through life's purpose and journey, to discover my purpose and the other side of life, the possibilities by fulfilling them.
Get the click? :) now you know why eat, pray and love inspires me so much.
Where was I? Ah yes, that productive day.
I know the haze is completely bad BUT I have no regrets in taking part and volunteering to be a helper of Make A Wish Foundation today. I decided to come over and helped my friend, Yi Sin who is also a volunteer to set up a private party room in Jungle Gym. We decorated the room, prepared everything that is required, running around getting food and things by traveling, running up and down, etc etc in order to make the event a success. It is for a small boy who is really special and we decided to make something memorable for him to remember, something to look forward to and the reason why he smiles by hosting a surprise party for him. I mean like... how would you feel if you are locked up in the hospital room, smelling devastating scent in the hospital, and enduring horrendous pain. People say "Do it before it is too late" so we decided to host a surprise party for him to make him happy and his purpose in life that is worth living before it is too late. Not much people are fortunate enough to afford something grand and wanting to surprise their sick kids with the things that they love. That's how Make A Wish Foundation came about, to achieve a child's dream and grant his or her wishes before it is too late.
The entire thing lasted for 10 hours and it was worth it. Felt like a kid once again - climbing up and sneaking in the jungle gym while playing with other kids make me even more happier.
Today was just tiring. It is even more greater to see a smile on someone's face and great to know that the special kid had a lot of fun while enduring such pain and limited time of spending quality time with the family.
Pictures speak louder than words. Here are a few of them:-
Stuff your face: Pink lemonade - lemonade + strawberry.
